Popularly called as the stone fruit tree of the genus Prunus, plum is primarily a stone fruit also known as the gage. Plums come in a variety of sizes with yellow, white or red flesh showing variance in skin colors.

Dietary ployphenols contained in them help in cell-to-cell signaling, receptor sensitivity, inflammatory enzyme and gene regulation.

Preparation :

Plums can either be eaten raw or converted into jams, jellies etc. These prunes can also be consumed in powdered form.
